I have stayed at the Imperial around 6 or 7 times over a number of years and the rooms have never been their best feature but I have to say the room I had this time had two windows both of which opened partially and the only thing you could see out of either window was the airconditioning pipes/ they were literally less than a foot form the window and I dont know if it was because this was the first time I had booked the hotel through your site or because I elected to have a smoking room - either way forgetting about the fact that you literally couldnt see daylight out of the room it was unbearably hot - I understand the hotel dont have aircon but it is one of the worst rooms I have staying in at any hotel and I was very disspointed that when I mentioned this in the morning no one seemed interested in what I had to say - I would say I have always reccomended the hotel but I wont be doing that again and I am very unlkely to stay myself - I have usually been with a party who would take a number of rooms in the past and it is a shame but I think it will be Jurys for me in future also I have only ever got a cab from the airport before but I drove this time and the car park is very a good hike away and I would expect a 4 star hotel to have much better rooms but also valet parking given the distance to the car park - very dissapoinitng and I had taken a friend who hadnt been before so I felt even worse
I have realsied I have compeleted these boxes in the wrong order - the thing I love about the Imperial is the location and the food is always good but the comments I have made above did spoil my trip on this occasion
Mostly the staff who were so helpful and friendly. Was attending my dauthers wedding everything about the hotel and the day itself could not be any better. And I would never stay there as I only live four miles away so for anyone visiting cork a pleasant surprise awaits. Thank you.
Initially we were given a room on the first floor which was next to the noisy kitchen extractor (which operates late at night and early mornings), however, the hotel manager provided us with an alternative room which was very comfortable. The staff at the hotel were very pleasant, the room very comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower! Overall we had a great experience and would recommend the Imperial Hotel due to its central location.
At €119 for a room - the hotel is more expensive than some of it's contemporary peers.
The location of the hotel is very convenient. Hotel is comfortable, clean and the stuff is friendly and helpfull.
The stuff ignored or did not managed within 2 days to exchange broken bulb in my room, however I requested that.
Particular members of staff provided superb service.
Efficient friendly atmosphere - oldworld ambience. A resident's lounge would be a useful addition.
Hotel room was supposed to be suite. It certainly was not. Our room phone was not working and ruined our first day. Our night was ruined as room did not have temp thermostat and we ended up roasted alive. There was a fan which was useless! I've traveled all over the world and this experience in Cork Imperial was the worst!
We stayed at the hotel because of a family wedding being held there. The staff in particular were extremely friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel.
Its a very central location.. Lots happening nearby and in hotel...Great fish at the fish Hatch run by the hotel..Generarly a good feel about the place..We will be staying again on next trip tp Cork..
The staff were so helpful. We asked for a street view in our booking, they were unable to provide us with same on our first night but offered us a breakfast and a drink in lieu .On the following day we received a room with a streetview as promised,
yes had a great time in cork hotel very good and staff very helpfull will be back.
The staff were excellent, especially the ladies at the check in desk, they let us check in a bit early as we had travelled since 5am! They also gave us good advice on where the good spots were for food and drink.Much appreciated. Room was also excellent, spacious with everything you need. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.
1. Proximity 2. Big, very comfy bed ! 3.
1.Hotel residents have to pay extra to use the spa facilities. 2.Loo handel had fallen off !! 3.Bottem of bath tub panel had been damaged. 4.Missing tile in bathroom. 5.Small room. 6.Car park was down another road. Not Far but enough to be an inconvenience 7.Batteries in remote control did not work.
staff were excellent. had headache when I arrived and receptionist was so kind. Food was only ok...i thought it would be nicer. however the restaurant staff were efficient and super helpful. also breakfast was delicious and had wide choice
evening meal food. fish was greasy as were chips.
loction was central. Good breakfast. nice cafe. car park nearby,
Room was too small and noisy ( boiler outside room ). Too expensive.
